Another pit bull attack in Lubbock leaves two miniature horses dead and their owner devestated by the loss.
Brothers Hal and Ray Summers raise miniature horses in West Lubbock.
Tuesday morning, Ray says he found two pit bulls attacking two of his brother's mini horses.
Apparently, the dogs had chewed a hole through the fence to get to the horses.
Animal Services was able to catch one of the pit bulls, but the other got away.
Now the brothers say they want the city to step in and require pit bull owners to be more responsible for their pets.
"If the City of Lubbock passed some kind of ordinance and put a $2,000 or $5,000 fine on these people everytime their dogs get out and cause a problem, then the people would make sure those dogs never get out again, or they'll get rid of them," Ray Summers says.
Animal Services say the owner of the pit bull that was caught has three days to reclaim it before it is put down.
