Head of Lubbock Animal Services Kevin Overstreet tells us he was placed on paid administrative leave today.

This comes several days after Overstreet sent a letter to City Manager Lee Ann Dumbauld and Assistant City Manager Quincy White. In the letter he accused the two of them of discussing his settlement offer with other members at City Hall, and that was supposed to be private. He tells us he has until Monday to respond to the City's action, and he says he will ask for a public hearing on the matter.

City Attorney Sam Medina confirmed to us that Overstreet was placed paid administrative leave, but wouldn't comment on why.
