Covenant Health System Unveils 5 Year Plan

Folks at Covenant Health System unveiled what they call their "Plan for the Future". An interactive presentation was used to explain the plan to more than 7,500 employees and also to get feedback about the hospital's vision for the future. Covenant leaders told us their 5-year plan includes attempts at cost-cutting and efficiency. Their plan is to make sure the hospital is appropriately staffed while providing higher quality care at an affordable price.
"We owe it to the community to be as absolutely efficient as we can be with our resources. At the same time we owe it to our community to deliver the highest quality of care and so that's kind of what this plan is all about. How do we deliver the highest quality care and at the same time do it very efficiently?" said John Grigson, Covenant CFO and member of the strategic planning process.
Employees said they're excited to have a say in what Covenant will become by 2015.
