Tech Signs 34 On National Signing Day

Wednesday was National Signing Day, the time of the year for universities across Amercia signing high school students to play for their schools. Texas Tech got a slew of student athletes to sign on with the Red Raiders. Mike Leach`s seventh recruiting class is ranked as high as 16th by scout.com and features 34 players, the most in the nation. Those signed include: Potts Sticks, the Abilene quarterback who threw for more than 3,100 yards and 23 touchdowns last season; Abilene wide receiver Lyle Leong, who had over 1,000 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns last year; Michael Crabtee, who played quarterback at Dallas Carter, but will move to receiver. Crabree is also one of the state`s top 50 basketball recruits and hopes to play at Tech; tight ends Adam James and Adrian Reese; running back Jocques Crawford, who played high school ball in Tennessee; Midland running back Baron Batch; offensive linemen Ben Davis, Tyler Duggins, Adrian Archie, Dmitri Lott, Buddy Brumit, and Ofa Mohetau; defensive ends Sean Estelle, Jonathan Hollins, and Brandon Williams; defensive linemen Dan`Tay Ward, Richard Jones, Broderick Marshall, and Rajon Henley; linebackers Julius Howard, Trevor Reilly, Marlon Williams, and Brian Duncan; and cornerbacks Leonard Hewitt, LaRon Moore, Jarell Routt and Jamar Wall.
