The seven page letter, given to every council member as well as City Manager Lee Ann Dumbald and Assistant Manager Quincy White, addressed his concerns after being placed on administrative leave. The city decided to put him on leave just last week after he wrote a letter calling for Dumbald and White's resignations.
"To go from Director of Emergency Management to head dog catcher? I mean come on. I have a Master's Certification in law enforcement, and they want me to be the head dog catcher," says Overstreet.
Overstreet asks if the city does decide to fire him, they continue to keep him on paid administrative leave until his grievance hearing.
