Police are investigating a possible homicide in South Lubbock after a dead body was found in the parking lot of an apartment complex near 85th and Quaker.

Just before 10 o-clock this morning, police received the call to the Boulders of Lakeridge, where the body was found in a truck in the parking lot. Right now, officials are leaning towards foul play as a cause of death.

Captain Greg Stevens, Lubbock Police Department: "Anytime a body is found in these kinds of circumstances, you know, in a parking lot, in a vehicle, for very obvious reasons we'll consider that as suspicious and again that's why we'll conduct a homicide investigation."

Officials have identified the victim as 48-year-old Paul Brown. It appears it's been several days since he died.

Police say right now, there are no suspects, but were busy interviewing folks in the area this afternoon and hope to find some leads here in the near future.
