Public Shootings: What Should You Do?

DUCKANDCOVER22007-12-12-1197516988.jpgThere have been three public shootings across the country in just the past two weeks, and many wonder about a way to stay alive in such a frightening situation.

All three incidents happened at places we would normally deem safe: A shopping mall, a church, and most recently a school bus stop.  Experts advise if you're caught in such a situation...run, if it's possible and run in a zig-zag, so you're a harder target.

But it's often better to hide or stay still so you can stay off the shooter's radar.  And most importantly, be aware of your surroundings.

"Everything that you can see or hear that doesn't look like it belongs probably doesn't belong and you need to investigate what's happening there."

"Number one, be safe in your person....look around.  Be always observent of where you are and observe the people that is around you."
