Monday is the busiest mailing day of the year, across the country; and Lubbock is no exception.

The United States Postal Service says almost one billion pieces of mail will arrive at post offices nationwide on Monday.  Officials in Lubbock say they will likely see two to two-and-a-half million pieces of mail before the day is out.

Officials say they have stepped-up staffing, making sure that there are enough people available to answer your questions.

Wednesday is expected to be the busiest delivery day of the year.
