Frustration boils over into a full-fledged protest rally on the Texas Tech campus this afternoon.

'Team Leach supporters packed Memorial Circle, hoping their rally would lead to some answers from tech administration.

The rally kicked off at 1 o-clock this afternoon.

Around 6-hundred folks filled memorial circle...

The rally also streaming live on the internet with watch parties in houston, dallas, even as far as chicago.

It's estimated at least 3-thousand viewers saw it that way.

We had several folks traveling for this, one guy coming all the way from phoenix, arizona.

Folks in the crowd, fired up, about wanting answers from adminstration regarding leach's termination.

We even saw some tears, when the man of the hour made an appearance over the phone.

Mike Leach, On the phone: "I couldn't have done it without fans like you, and I can't say enough about your support, and it means a lot to me, and it will forever."

Matt McGee, Team Leach Supporer: "All we want is answers. We know Coach Leach isn't coming back, but we want answers to why it happened the way it did, what really happened behind the closed doors, and why the administration seems to be shrouded in secrecy."

Ann Terry, Rally Participant: "We're sick. This is sickening. It's awful, as much as he's done for the university, and he's done for Texas Tech, for him to be treated this way."

David Riker, Drove from Denver City: "We need to move on, and not be ashamed of what's happened."

Mike Leach, on the phone: I just want you to know how proud I was to have the opportunity to be your coach for the last ten years."

We're told all Tech administrators linked to this were invited -- all declined.

Organizers say even with a crowd of 600, they were hoping for even more -- but still, considered a success.
