Lady 'Backs Bring Down Lady Raiders

texastech2008-01-06-1199659727.jpgFayetteville, ARKANSAS - Ayana Brereton scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the 25th-ranked Arkansas Lady Razorbacks over the Texas Tech Lady Raiders, 80-57, at Bud Walton Arena. Charity Ford added 12 points for Arkansas (15-0), which recorded its school- record 15th straight win. Whitney Jones tallied 11 points and 10 boards and Lauren Ervin had 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Brittney Vaughn registered 11 points with seven assists in the win. Dominic Seals had nine points to lead Texas Tech (12-2), which had a three- game win streak halted. The Lady Razorbacks scored 13 of the first 15 points of the game and found themselves ahead 21-4 a little later. Arkansas basically cruised from there, holding a 12-point lead at halftime, 38-26, and coasting through the second half.
