DALLAS - A walk-on helped Tech stay alive in the Big 12 Tournament.
Tanner Owen came off the bench and scored 14 points to get the Red Raiders past Kansas State, 73-65, on Thursday afternoon.
Jarrius Jackson led Tech in scoring with 21 points, while Martin Zeno and Darryl Dora had 17 and 12 points, respectively.
The eighth-seeded Red Raiders (15-16) move on to face top-seeded Texas Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. at the American Airlines Center.
