The Texas Tech baseball team got past Texas Wesleyan on Wednesday. But it took extra innings to do it. The Red Raiders won, 12-11 in 12 innings. Tech was in control for much of the came until Texas Wesleyan scored three runs in the top of the ninth to tie the game. The Rams would take a 9-6 lead in the 10th, but thanks to doubles by Trey Stewart and Kyle Martin, the Red Raiders were able to tie the game in the bottom of the 10th. In the 12th, Texas Wesleyan were able to take an 11-9 lead. But runs by James Leverton, Roger Kieschncik and Willie Rueda gave the Red Raiders the win. Duke Dinnsmoore (2-1) got the win for Tech. The Red Raiders (20-9) return to conference play with a three-game series with Baylor beginning Friday.
