Lady Raiders Win First Big 12 Game

Lubbock, TX (Sports Network) - Dominic Seals dominated the paint, scoring 27
points and pulling down 14 rebounds as the Texas Tech Lady Raiders pulled off an
impressive 70-58 upset win over 24th-ranked Texas at United Spirit Arena.
Seals finished 11-of-16 from the floor and blocked three shots as Texas Tech (13-5, 1-3 Big 12) broke a four-game losing streak and notched its first conference win. Ashlee Roberson also posted a double-double for the Lady Raiders, scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 boards and Texas Tech out-rebounded Texas, 46-33.
Brittainy Raven and Ashley Lindsay each scored 15 points to pace the Longhorns (13-5, 1-3), who have now lost three of their last four games. Carla Cortijo pitched in eight points and nine assists, but the Longhorns shot just 33.9 percent from the field in defeat.
