Lubbock police are searching for a man who they say stabbed his wife in the head over the weekend. A warrant was issued this morning for 40-year old Martin Gordillo, who is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.  Police say Gordillo started to stab his wife while she was trying to sleep inside their home on the 5500 Block of 101st Street.  She was able to take the knife away from him at one point, but police say he pulled out another one and continued stabbing her.   She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say Gordillo is a Mexican National and they believe he could be headed to Mexico to avoid facing these charges.  He was last seen driving a 1994 maroon Mercury Villager Van with Texas license plate 787FZR. If you see this van or know where Gordillo is call the Crimeline at 741-1000.
