FLOYDADAFIRE-VO2008-01-29-1201665549.jpgFloydada firefighters spent the morning fighting a huge cotton feed fire.

Hundreds of thousands of pounds of cotton shoots and burs went up in flames around seven Tuesday morning.

Floydada fire officials say the fire started at the Floydada Co-op Cotton Gin around seven his morning and spread in less than 10 minutes.

Firefighters brought the fire under control wihth in hours, but they still plan to keep a look out incase high winds revive the flames.
