Bob Knight, head coach for the Texas Tech Red Raider Basketball team, has announced he's resigning.
Knight took over at Texas Tech in 2001, winning 138 games in his 7 plus seasons as head coach of the Red Raiders.   He had many milestones along the way, including last year when he became the all time winningest men's college basketball coach in NCAA history with 880 wins under his belt.
Head Coach Designate Pat Knight is expected to take over, but still no reasons for the resignation thus far.  The Red Raiders are set to hit the court again this Wednesday at Baylor.

    We'll keep you updated.
