Throughout his seven year career in Lubbock, Coach Bob Knight has definitely brought some notoriety to The Hub.

The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce says lots of people know of Lubbock simply because of Coach Knight's legendary career.  They also say Coach Knight has been a great ambassador for the city.

The Chamber says Coach Knight has always spoken well about Lubbock and they feel he genuinely does enjoy living here.  The Chamber also says they hope this isn’t the last they’ve seen of Coach Knight.

"We've been fortunate, for the short time we've had him.  I hope he's not leaving.  I hope he's still here and works for the university in some capacity because, again, wherever he goes, he's still going to spread good news about Lubbock,” says Eddie McBride, President of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber says they expect to see great things with brand new Head Coach Pat Knight.
