June 21, 2006 Today the Cotton Kings aquired veteran forward Trevor Weisgerber in a trade with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. Weisgerber registered 63 points for the Killer Bees last season, a franchise record. In the trade the Kings give up the playing rights of forward Emery Olauson. Olauson spent two years in Lubbock racking up 26 goals last season for the Kings. Olauson told the Cotton Kings he had no plans to play for the team in the 2006-07 season. The Kings now own the playing rights to Trevor Weisgerber and expect to sign him officially in the upcoming days.
