Swoopes: No Auction

July 1, 2006 An auction that is scheduled to take place later in July selling items owned by former Lady Raider Sheryl Swoopes, is apparently canceled. Swoopes` agent sent KLBK-13 a statement on Saturday morning regarding her client`s situation with Lubbock company, B&W Self-Storage. "We recognize and sincerly appreciate the steadfast interest for Sheryl in the Lubbock community. However, possibly to the disappointment of many, Texas Tech fans, sports enthusiasts, and Sheryl Swoopes supporters, the belongings will not be auctioned. The matter has been resolved." Swoopes and her agent had no comment on how the matter was resolved. B&W was closed when KLBK-13 tried to reach them this weekend for comment.
