PicBonessidebyside2008-02-20-1203568058.jpgThe remains found in Yellow House Canyon have been identified.  More than two years after their discovery, DNA tests prove the remains to be that of 17 year old Bernard O'Niell Wilson of Lubbock.  According to Wilson's brother, Bernard went missing in May of 2005.  The family never filed a missing person's report.
A sketch was made by a forensic artist based on the remains in December of 2007.  Wilson's father saw that sketch on the news, recognized it as his son and called authorities.  Subsequent dental records and DNA tests confirmed the identity.
A homicide investigation is now on going into Wilson's death.  If you have any information on the case you are asked to call the Crime Line; that number is 741-1000
