Lobos Hand Tech Baseball a Loss

The loss drops Texas Tech 2-3 on the
season while
After going down in order in the
first inning, the
Trailing 7-0 in the top of the
seventh, Texas Tech finally got on the board as Roger Kieschnick reached on a
leadoff double and Jason Seefeld drove him home with a two-RBI homer to left
field. The home run marked his first of
the season and his fifth and sixth RBIs of the year.
Seefeld plated the final run of the
game for the Red Raiders in the top of the ninth as he reached on a leadoff
double and then scored on an RBI groundout by Monk Kreder. Seefeld paced the Tech offense on the
afternoon as he went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two
RBIs.
Russ Fornea (1-0) was charged with
the loss for the Red Raiders as he gave up five runs on eight hits over three
innings of work. Jacob Norton (1-0)
earned the win for
Texas Tech returns to action on
Friday afternoon as the Red Raiders will face the Houston Cougars at 3:30 p.m.
