DELEONRECALLvo.transfer2008-02-29-1204343281.jpgThe third attempt in a year to recall city councilwoman Linda Deleon failed on Friday.  Local activist Roger Settler turned in a petition with more than 700 signatures.  494 signatures of district one voters are required to force Deleon to run for her own office in a special election.  Of the 700 turned in, only 207 were validated as district one voters.  Settler, along with Armando Gonzalez have in the past claimed they would persist in the effort until Deleon was off the council.  No announcements have been made about another recall effort just yet.
