Texas Tech running back Baron Batch returned to Texas Tech practice on Tuesday after suffering a staph-infection over the weekend. Batch, a freshman out of Midland, Texas, participated in the Red Raiders final workout last Thursday before the S.M.U. game on Saturday. But when Batch woke up on the morning of the game, one of his ankles was swollen causing him to sit out of the Red Raiders 35-3 win over S.M.U. Texas Tech told KLBK that Batch did return and participated in practice on Tuesday afternoon. It is expected he will be in uniform when the Red Raiders travel to El Paso to take on UTEP on Saturday night at 8pm.
