Boulder, CO (Sports Network) - Bernard Jackson threw for two touchdowns and ran for one more to lift the Colorado Buffaloes to their first win of the season, beating the Texas Tech Red Raiders, 30-6, in a Big 12 clash at Folsom Field. Hugh Charles rushed for 119 yards on 17 carries for the Buffaloes (1-6, 1-2 Big 12), while Jackson finished with 205 total yards (151 passing, 54 rushing). For Texas Tech (4-3, 1-2), Graham Harrell completed 26-of-39 passes for 236 yards and a touchdown, although he did toss three interceptions. Four minutes into the game, Jackson hit Riar Greer for a 28-yard touchdown pass to open up a 7-0 lead for the Buffaloes. Jackson found Jarrell Yates for a 29-yard scoring strike at the 12:55 mark of the second quarter, putting Colorado ahead, 14-0. Kicker Mason Crosby hit a pair of field goals before the half, one from 56 yards out and another from 26, to give the Buffaloes a 20-0 lead heading into the locker room. Crosby again flashed his range, hitting a 53-yard field goal with 4:06 to play in the third quarter. It was not until the 9:04 mark of the final quarter that the Red Raiders got on the board, as Harrell hooked up with Danny Amendola for an 11-yard touchdown pass. With the game well under control, Colorado added another touchdown on a one- yard scoring plunge by Jackson. Texas Tech could not get its ground game going, as the Red Raiders rushed for only 31 yards (2.1 average) as a team. It was the first time since 1999 that Texas Tech was shut out through three quarters. 10/14 20:28:37 ET
