STORMCHASERSpkg2008-03-11-1205286371.jpgThe South Plains Storm Spotting Team needs your help to keep families safe during severe weather. Storm season is right around the corner, but recently, the team was ordered to take down an important antenna in Kent Co. That vital piece of equipment allowed direct and immediate communication between the team and national weather service. Now that its gone, that leaves a hole in communication with 9 different counties. Says Jody James of the National Weather Service, "I think most important are the spotters on the ground, they see things that we cant see on radar and those two piece of information are two of the most important that go into our warning decision making."
