Officials say Lubbock is ready if the city should face an emergency situation.  The Emergency Operations Center in Lubbock has been going through a two-day regional exercise.  The exercise includes testing radio capabilities throughout our region.

About 150 first responders and city officials were stationed at the Operations Center and throughout the region on Tuesday and Wednesday, going through mock emergencies.  And this was all to see how well we would communicate in an emergency situation.

It seems like Lubbock is doing pretty well.  The city received top marks for emergency radio communications from the state.

The emergency exercise is done on an annual basis.
