seagravesmurder.transfer2008-03-26-1206588977.jpgThe small town of Seagraves is shaken tonight at Texas Rangers, DPS, and local law enforcement search for the person who beat a man to death at the Agriliance facility. Police say the call came in around 7:30 Tuesday morning. A co-worker found Robert Bryant lying on the floor of the warehouse. When police arrived, Bryant was able to tell them he had been beaten, but we don't know if he said by whom..

Bryant was taken to Brownfield Regional Hospital and then airlifted to UMC where he was pronounced dead. This beating turned murder is a shock to the community especially Bryant's family. His son, Frederick Bryant, was at work in New Mexico where he lives, when he got the news. He drove to Seagrave, on to Brownfield, and ultimately Lubbock where he got the news. He and the rest of his family hope that someone will come forward with information to lead investigators to the killer, and bring closure to this grieving family.

If you have any information, you are urged to call the Gaines County Sherrif's Dept. at (432) 758-9871.
