The Red Raider Hockey team will have some a new star power when they hit the ice next semester. Dustin Honing, a three-time junior canadian all-star at forward, will attend Texas Tech in January. "He is a solid player, we welcome Dustin with open arms," said Tech Head Coach Paul Fioroni. "Dustin has all the potential to be a professional, but you have to admire the fact he wants to come to Lubbock and also focus on a education." Fioroni says he may loose some of his current stars on the Tech Hockey team next semester due to grades. "Dustin comes in at a perfect time," Fioroni said. "I hope whatever grade situations with a few of our players clears up, but if not, it`s good to know we have a player like Dustin coming in." Fioroni says he expects Dustin to be in uniform January 11 when the Red Raiders host Texas A&M.
