There are still a few unsolved murder and missing persons cases here in Lubbock County.  21 year old Cynthia Palacio was found in a ditch west of Slaton in July of 2003.  Nine months later, 21 year old Linda Carbajal was found beaten to death on a county road near New Deal.  Also, in July of 2004, 26 year old Jennifer Wilkerson disappeared.

As of now these cases are still open, but investigators aren't giving up hope.

“Each of these cases that are somewhat cold cases are - the reason that they remain active - is because there is information that comes about from time to time.  And they are considered priority cases when that information does come in,” says Major Don Carter of the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Department.

The Lubbock County Sheriff's Department says, at this point in time, there are no links between Rosendo Rodriguez and these three cases.
