It's been a year now since a 40-year-old Lubbock woman was found murdered and dumped out on East Municipal Drive and police still have made no arrests and have no suspects in the case.

It was April 10th last year when a jogger found Selena Kuykendall's dead body near a cell phone tower on East Municipal Drive.  Detectives immediately started gathering evidence and following up on leads trying to put her killer behind bars, but even a year later police say they still have not been able to get any of the evidence they have to lead them to a suspect.  They say it's still unclear if the killer is someone local or from out of town, but despite their lack of leads now, they're still confident they can and will solve this case.

"Ones that last this long and continue to go unsolved, they do weigh heavy on the detectives responsible for them as well as the police department as a whole," says Cpt. Greg Stevens.  "Even the most minute information that somebody might have about this case may stand on it's own to help us, but certainly it has the chance to stand with other information to give us a clue of who perpetrated this crime."

If you have any information on who killed Ms. Kuykendall you are asked to call the Crimeline at 741-1000.
