The State of Texas could begin setting execution dates in the near future.  The United States Supreme Courts decision to uphold lethal injection as a constitutional method of execution will open the door for state prosecutors to place the option back on the table.  Many counties have been holding back for several months on capital cases, awaiting the Supreme Court's decision.  Lubbock County Assistant District Attorney Tray Payne says he believes the state will begin setting execution dates promptly.
