roadchunksvo2008-04-17-1208482034.jpgJerry Kennard drove a Corvette in his early twenties, but then a wife and family came along and the Corvette had to go.

Now 61 and after years of hard work, Kennard once again owns a Corvette, but last month he says some road debri left over from street repairs caused serious damage to his car.

"It cost me $892.12," said Kennard.

So he filed a claim with the City of Lubbock, but City officials say the responisibility is on the contractor, Lone Star Dirt and Paving.

Kennard said Lone Star didn't seem interested in helping him out and that's when he turned to KLBK.

After several phone calls, Lone Star made contact with Kennard and their insurance company will begin looking into the claim.

Kennard said he was just happy that his claim was being acknowledged,.
