Lubbock residents react to plans for the Lubbock Visitor Information Center.

Lubbock residents are reacting to plans for the Lubbock Visitor Information Center.  The project is estimated to cost over $6 million.

Many people we spoke with feel a visitor's center wouldn't be a bad idea, but the price tag sounds a bit steep.  Many residents also admit they don't know the numbers, for example, how many tourists we actually see here in Lubbock.  They also say they don’t know much money the city could receive from this kind of project.  However, all residents agree, Lubbock has a lot to offer.
