UNITED SPIRIT ARENA - The Nebraska defense held Texas Tech without a basket until the 12 minute mark when Alan Voskuil drained a three pointer to get Tech on the board. Tech would heat up towards the end of the first half thanks to three pointers by Tanner Ogden and Jon Plefka. The Red Raiders took a 29-16 lead into halftime. In the second half, Nebraska mounted a comeback and Marcus Harris tied the ball game at 55 with a bucket from behind the arc. Then, with under a minute to go and Tech leading 59-58, New Mexico`s shot to win it was off. Tech tried to get the rebound and almost knocked it out of play, but Charlie Burgess saved the ball and errantly threw it to Nebraska`s Charles Richardson who drained a three with under a second to play to give the Cornhuskers the 61-59 win.
