If youve been in the grocery store lately, you probably know food costs are rising right along with those gas prices. Some Lubbockites are now are turning to options like Angel Food Ministries for help. The ministry provides food relief. They make food boxes available to anyone at a greatly discounted cost. Each box contain nutritious meals that will feed a family of four for a week or more. "Its the most rewarding, wonderful thing in the world," says Gwen Greer, of First United Methodist Church of Wolfforth. "When you see the families come in here, especially single moms, or elderly families, people that you know really need the extra help, its an awesome thing."
