An update on Friday’s busted burglars.

KAMC brought you the breaking news story about a theft-ring bust in Northwest Lubbock.  It all started after a woman’s brother spotted two young men burglarizing her home on Friday.  The man chased after the burglars and the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Department was able to catch them.  That arrest led them to four more in Northwest Lubbock that same day.

The Sheriff’s Department says solving those cases was thanks to earlier arrests and with vacation season coming, neighbors can help stop cases like this from happening.  They say you should install an alarm system, install lights that make it look like you are home, and finally, participate in a neighborhood watch program.

The Sheriff’s Department says they still have two of the six people in custody.  The other four were released pending charges.  Those charges will likely be filed later this week.
