Bob Knight will more than likely be on a lake this weekend fishing, because today Texas Tech`s season came to an end with a 84-75 loss to Boston College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. "We scored enough points," said Tech Head Coach Bob Knight. "We didnt need to score anymore points; we just didnt get things done defensively." Martin Zeno led the Red Raiders with a game high 21 points. The Red Raiders largest lead of the ballgame was just 4 points. Tech held a lead for as long as 4:28 in the middle of the second half. "We just missed assignments and stuff like that," said Zeno. Zeno`s teammate, senior Jay Jackson, was held to only 10 points. Jackson came into today averaging over 20 points a game. "Id like to see it rain dollar bills too," Knight said. "But Jay was defended against well. You cant just go out there and do what you want to." Today also marked the last game ever for the 2007 senior class, who played in three NCAA Tournaments in four years under Bob Knight. "I wish it could have went the other way around," said senior guard Jay Jackson. "It was a down point because its the last game of my career." Tech will loose five seniors, Jackson, Darryl Dora, Jon Plefka, LucQuente White, and Tanner Ogden. "We have some things we can do with the players were going to have next year that are intriguing," said Knight. "But Im still going fishing tomorrow."
