Pavement construction on 98th Street between Vicksburg and Slide Road will continue throughout June. Director of Public Works Marsha Reed says, they are asking the contractors to remove and replace the pavement because it does not meet city standards. "The materials were fine, it was just that it did not match the grade that it should have on the crown of our street, and that would not allow the water to drain off, and especially when we had freezing conditions it could cause serious issues for drivers." The city expects construction to be finished in June.
