The group hosted an art auction at the Hillcrest Country Club Thursday night. The money raised will be used to help pay for kids to be a part of their summer program. "In the summertime were taking our kids on several different field trips in all sorts of different locations. Whether its in a van, in a bus or whatever, and you know the price of diesel," says Tom Vermillion, the executive director for the Boys and Girls Club. Two hundred pieces of art were on display tonight, all provided by the Perry Berns Gallery. Prices for artwork started anywhere from $35 to $500.
