A local radio station is filling some tanks for free this summer.

Earlier today, FMX radio and Fina partnered for their weekly Summer Fuel Frenzy.

Every Thursday throughout the summer, FMX will announce a secret Fina location.

The first listeners to arrive will receive a scratch off card, but they are limited.

This afternoon the Fina station on 4th and Frankford was packed.

They gave away 164 tickets in just seventeen minutes, but despite the chaos, everyone we spoke to said it was absolutely worth it.

"It just goes to show how bad the gas prices are if people are just willing to just run in and grab some as fast as they can," said Candace Soliz, a Lubbock driver.

"I won five dollars worth. That will get me to work for one day," said Candace Stevens.

FMX will announce the secret location between noon and 12:50 each Thursday of the summer

Every ticket wins, and a total of two-thousand dollars in gas will be given away.
