Airlines are suffering as gas prices soar, and theyre starting to cut service to some cities. So is Lubbock in jeopardy of losing any flights? Airport officials say so far they havent seen a drop in passengers because of higher ticket prices, so its likely our three airline carriers will continue to service The Hub City. But with gas prices continuing to climb, they say the airports future of flight loss is uncertain. "There are communities out there that are gonna lose service," says James Loomis of the Lubbock Airport. "Some have already lost service, so were fortunate right now, but that doesnt mean that something cant happen, we could lose some service, anything is possible right now."
