LUBBOCK, TEXAS – The Lubbock Renegades clinched the Advanced Graphix I-27 Rivalry trophy with a hard-fought 60-49 victory over the Amarillo Dusters on Saturday night in front of 2,532 fans at the City Bank Coliseum.

Alvance Robinson exploded for 212 yards and five touchdowns for the Renegades and was named Schutt Offensive Player of the Game. Renegades quarterback Robert Kent turned in a near-flawless performance, going 21-29 for 277 yards and eight touchdowns with no interceptions. Virgil Gray and LoRico Stevenson led the way defensively for the Renegades with 6.5 tackles each.

Dusters quarterback Julian Reese started the game 12-22 for 165 yards. Due to injury, Joel Steele would finish the game at the helm for the Dusters. Each threw for three touchdowns in the game. Gerald Washington led the Dusters’ defense with 6.5 tackles.

The Renegades found themselves on the other end of a familiar situation by putting the first two scores on the board. The strong start proved to be the difference as the two teams traded touchdowns for the remainder of the contest.

The Renegades are on the road next week to square off against the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz. The Renegades defeated the Yard Dawgz 63-43 in Lubbock on April 12.
