A Floydada man is dead and another injured after a weekend shooting, the first murder in the town since 1984.  Police are still searching for the suspect, 26-year-old Daniel Herrera.  Floydada Chief of Police Darrell Gooch tells us that around two Saturday morning, several men were drinking outside Serapio Ovalle's  home in Floydada.  A fight then broke out and Gooch says Herrera left and came back with a gun firing several rounds.

27-year-old Israel Martinez was killed.  Ovalle was shot in the hip and is recovering.  Floydada police are now asking for your help in finding Herrera.  If you have seen him or know where he might be, call the Floydada Police Department at 983-2834.
