Near Drowning

Around 5 p.m. Friday afternoon, EMS arrived at 1904 Avenue S and found a child who drowned in a residential swimming pool.
According to eyewitnesses, several children were playing in the backyard when they heard screams.
Police officials say the 3-year-old child had turned a blue color and was rushed to Covenant Emergency Room.
As of 9:40 p.m., the child was listed in critical condition.
According to eyewitnesses, the people watching the children were asleep in the house while the children were playing near the pool.
