BloodFullForceVO.transfer2008-07-01-1214968297.jpgWith all the fun ways to celebrate the Fourth, police are taking extra steps to make sure you stay safe on the roads. Law enforcement officers want you to know, if youre pulled over and suspected of driving under the influence, you will be asked to use a breathalyzer. If you refuse, they will take you to UMC and you will have to give a sample of your blood to determine your blood alcohol content. Assistant District Attorney Tom Brummett says, "My plan is that people wont do it, but for those that are, we want to get the message out that the most important piece of scientific evidence youre not going to be able to hide, and its just not worth it." Brummett also says if DWI enforcement goes well this Fourth, they want to make blood tests a permanent procedure when someone is pulled over and suspected of drunk driving.
