The 4th of July holiday is only days away and it seems high gas prices are affecting fireworks sales this year. Stand owners say theyre seeing fewer people purchase fireworks this year, but they say with gas and food prices so high, they expected lower sales than last year. Some families say they wouldnt miss the fireworks for the world, and they saved up their money for this 4th of July weekend. Says Peter White, "We save, but gas is hard and the economy is not the greatest but its not gonna stop us from celebrating the greatest holiday in this countrys history." "everybodys concerned with the price of gas and the price of foods," says TNT Fireworks store manager Jinks White. "The fourth of Julys a special day, and we love to celebrate and we hope ppl will come out and celebrate."
