It's still not known what caused a fire that left a Lubbock mother and her seven children homeless.

The fire started around one o'clock Saturday morning at 8205 Lynnhaven Drive.

Rita Chasco and her children were watching fireworks at Mackenzie Park when someone called and told them their house was on fire.

Fire investigators are now left to piece together what might have happened Saturday night.

Assistant Fire Marshal, Marlin Hamilton says there is still alot to uncover.  "There is a history of domestic violence, I understand with this fire.  I can't say much because I don't know the details of it."

The Chasco family has set up a fund at First Bank and Trust.

If you would like to help, you can donate at any branch, just tell them it's for the Chasco house fire.
