LAKEMERIDETHpkg.transfer2008-07-10-1215745099.jpgLake Meredith is at its lowest levels ever, and the city is still years away from completing the Lake Alan Henry pipeline. Aubrey Spear was at yesterdays meeting to discuss lake levels. He says it would take a lot of rain to keep Lake Meredith from drying up, but Mayor Martin is certain the city can handle the crunch. "People should know that we watch this almost on an hourly basis, and were prepared and we have the tools in place to do what needs to be done to stretch our water supply until we can bring the Lake Alan Henry project on line," says Martin. Mayor Martin says the city plans to start the first phase of the Lake Alan Henry pipeline sometime early next year. For now, hes asking citizens to continue to conserve and follow city ordinances.
