A life-saving bracelet that keeps track of loved ones is now available to Lubbock families. These bracelets are part of Project Lifesaver. They are meant for children with autism or elderly family members. They are permanently attached to the wrist and if loved ones were to wander away, police can locate them and bring them home quickly and safely. The bracelets save police the time and money that comes from intensive county-wide searches. "Its very scary when your loved ones missing, and with the Project Lifesaver theyre able to do that safe return within a matter of minutes with the new technology instead of hours or even days," says Jody Lewis, a member of Accolade. The average search time to find someone missing is nine hours, but the Lifesaver bracelet cuts that time to only twenty minutes.
